-As MLBTradeRumors.com pointed out yesterday, Hong-Chih Kuo is likely to be a non-tender candidate after a rough year with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Phillies should be on this guy this offseason. Phillies fans should remember Kuo for his relief abilities against them in the 2008 and 2009 playoffs. In seven appearances between the two series, he allowed just four hits. From 2008-2010, Kuo was one of the finest situational lefties in baseball. Over 170 innings during those three years, Kuo posted a minisucule 1.95 ERA, and in 2010 had a ridiculous 0.74 WHIP. In ’10, he fanned 73 batters in 60 innings (11.0 K/9) and walked just 18 (2.7 BB/9). Lefties were held to an unfathomable .095 average and .111 with 28 strikeouts in 69 plate appearances. This past season was a different story for Kuo, who dealt with anxiety issues and also spent time on the disabled list with a back strain. His ERA ballooned from 1.20 in 2010 to 9.00 in 2011. It was a phenomenally bad turnaround; much the same ...

He becomes the first Dodger to win the Hank Aaron Award as he led the league in home runs with 39 and posted top-three finishes in batting average, RBIs and stolen bases.Matt Kemp was recognized as the top offensive player in the National League on Monday when he became the first Dodger to win the Hank Aaron Award.
With so many interest in parties, keeping track of who owes who what is a monumental task. To make things simple, I’ve made a quick diagram that sums up Frank McCourt’s proposal to the bankruptcy court.
Jenifer Langosch reports that the Pittsburgh Pirates expect to decline the options of Ryan Doumit and Chris Snyder, with both decisions due five days after the end of the World Series. Neither decision is much of a surprise. Both catchers have missed a lot of time with injuries, and both catchers come with high priced options when you consider their production. Doumit’s option...
The Awards season has started nicely for Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp, who on Monday was named winner of the 2011 Hank Aaron Award as the most outstanding offensive player in the National League.

And Mr C isn't exactly running a prize deficit with the Sons either. He's collected a 2009 Dodger Media guide, as well as a few puzzles of his own.
So what is left to offer up...
ARLINGTON, Texas — Lost in the daily legal briefs, motions, sidebars and rulings, Matt Kemp had one heck of a season for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The center fielder led the National League in home runs (39), RBIs (126) and runs scored (115), leading to his first-ever Hank Aaron Award on Monday. Toronto’s Jose Bautista won for the second consecutive season in the American League...
A week from today, Maholm will most likely be a free agent.
The Texas Rangers took a 3-2 lead in the World Series last night, and could potentially win it all on Wednesday. If they lose, that means the series will be decided on Thursday. For the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the other 27 teams that are waiting for the off-season to begin, this means that we will start to see the first...
General manager Neal Huntington said that the Pirates intend to decline club options for Ryan Doumit and Chris Snyder after the conclusion of the World Series, writes Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com.
There appears to be little chance the Pirates will pick up the contract options of their top two catchers, Ryan Doumit and Chris Snyder, for next season.
With the World Series more than halfway over, the Pirates will quickly be moving to make the final decisions on the team options that they hold on Paul Maholm, Ryan Doumit, and Chris Snyder. The Pirates previously said that they wouldn't pick up Maholm's option. It had been safe to assume for some time that they wouldn't pick up Doumit's option (because it's for...
In a pronouncement that comes as no surprise, general manager Neal Huntington said that the Pirates intend to decline club options for Ryan Doumit and Chris Snyder after the conclusion of the World Series. The catchers are two of four Pirates who hold club options for the 2012 season.
Pirates general manager Neal Huntington said Saturday the team had not reached a decision on the club options of catchers Ryan Doumit and Chris Snyder but indicated it is unlikely they will be exercised. "Given the dollars that it would take to pick up those options, it may not be the best choice," Huntington said.
