It's believed that the Mets can improve their pitching staff by improving their catching core, the Mets are expected to sign a front line catcher who is an offensive and defensive up-grade over last years' catchers. They've already signed a catcher who is considered one of the best receivers in the league in Henry Blanco. I'm sure the starting catcher will work with most of the staff but the special cases will be given to Blanco, where they will sacrifice offense for game calling, in others words Ollie now has a caddy...I think the Mets are at the point where they will try anything to fix Ollie, because the support doesn't appear to be stopping at Blanco.
