Even before the Rangers embarked on this six-game road trip and before Elvis Andrus once again put up some big-time highlights on one of baseball's biggest stages, veteran Omar Vizquel was quick to praise his pupil. One of the biggest reasons the Rangers signed Vizquel was to have him mentor Andrus. I talked with Vizquel for about 10 minutes or so just before the team left and it was clear Vizquel is enjoying his role and the job Andrus is doing. "He's very impressive," Vizquel said. "He's done a better job than I even expected. Nothing seems to bother him much. He just plays." Vizquel talks with Andrus after any unusual play.
