The Baltimore Orioles announced that they have designated reliever Kevin Gregg and infielder Ryan Adams for assignment. The moves were necessary as the team needed room on the 40 man roster for Endy Chavez and L.J. Hoes.
Gregg who signed a two-year $10mm deal in January ‘11 struggled during his time in Baltimore, posting a 4.53 era. This season, Gregg posted a 4.74 era with 7.6 K/9, 4.9 BB/9 in 42 2/3 innings.
Adams spent the entire season in the minor leagues, posting a .225/.317/.348 line in 279 plate appearances.
