The Baltimore Orioles showed “strong interest” in Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Justin Upton a few weeks back, but talks have since sputtered as the O’s are returning their focus to starting pitchers, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports. Add #Orioles to teams that have pursued JUpton. Strong interest a few weeks back, but talks sputtered. Team seemingly more focused on SPs. — Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) January 8, 2013 Eduardo Encina of The Baltimore Sun adds that it shouldn’t be surprising to see the Orioles express interest in Upton. He says Baltimore felt the Diamondbacks want “too much” for the young slugger. Beyond Upton, the Orioles have also been tied to Diamondbacks outfielder Jason Kubel. With the signing of Cody Ross and presence of Gerardo Parra, Arizona is expected to trade one of Upton or Kubel this winter. The Orioles have been targeting an impact bat and starting pitcher this offseason. After their run at Upton, the team is now once again focusing on arms. Joe Saunders continues to be the name most-tied to the Orioles.  Follow @mlbinjurynews !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.mlbinjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs"); var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-34100676-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? Baltimore Orioles Top 15 Prospects (2012-13)

The Orioles list is strong at the top but begins to taper off quickly after the Top 4 players. Can the Combo of Danny Valencia and Wilson Betemit Be the Answer at DH for the Baltimore Orioles?

The Baltimore Orioles and Executive VP/GM Dan Duquette have been the recipients of a lot of criticism from fans and the media, including myself, this offseason due to their inability to add the big bat in the middle of the order that Baltimore desperately needs. With the calendar turning over to 2013, and pitchers and catchers reporting in just over a month, it is safe to assume...

As we as fans know, the Orioles at glance have not done much with retooling  their roster. Now, we are still in early January and there's more to be done by Dan Duquette along with...
