There is guy posing as Chipper Jones on Twitter and it cracks me up. Spurred on by my wife’s addiction to Chipper, I collected my thoughts (and proof) as to why it’s not really Chipper tweeting. There are a few simple facts that alone should be enough for most to know it’s not really Chipper Jones tweeting.
Note: All of the embedded tweets have foreign navigation. I suspect this is due to my web server being in Europe. Will fix that if I figure out how.
First of all, none of the other Braves players have acknowledged him being on Twitter – yet they mobbed Brandon Beachy the day he first posted.
Second – anyone that knows the Braves knows that Chipper is a very private person. I just don’t see him publicly posting where he’s going during the day and generally being so jovial.
So my plan for tomorrow is to go to the gym, the grocery store, best buy, then home depot. #WOW

Pastornicky Primed For Playing Time In Atlanta
With each passing day, it becomes more likely prospect Tyler Pastornicky will open the 2012 season as the starting shortstop for one the National League’s best teams. As the Atlanta Braves continue their careful transition from present-to-future, providing a defensive anchor at shortstop will be key as the organization’s strength is in its young pitching.
However, for...
If the Braves Reported to Camp Tomorrow…
By Kent Covington
Braves remain confident in their current roster, but are hoping for an upgrade.
As us Braves fans, bloggers and commentators wait patiently impatiently for General Manager, Frank Wren, to upgrade the roster, let’s take a moment to reflect on what’s already here. What if the Braves reported to camp right now? What if spring training started tomorrow?
Here’s...
All I Want for Christmas is for the Atlanta Braves to…
The Atlanta Braves made one of the first moves of the offseason this year by shipping Derek Lowe an $10 million to the Cleveland Indians. I thought this would be the precursor to the team’s activity this offseason, as they try to correct the problems that occurred in the final month of the season last year.
The only thing that the Braves have done since then is seemingly kick...
Report: Atlanta Braves in Trademark Dispute With Pixar, Disney Over 'Brave' Movie
What do you think of when someone says the word "brave"? That may seem like a silly question, but for the Atlanta Braves, it's one that might be worth going to court over. The Braves are reportedly engaged in a trademark dispute with Pixar Animation Studios -- and therefore Pixar's parent company, Walt Disney -- over the name of their latest movie. Pixar's next...
Will Atlanta Braves Trade Martin Prado And Jair Jurrjens To Baltimore Orioles For Adam Jones?
The Atlanta Braves are involved in quite a few trade discussions as of late, mainly trying to switch things up a bit after suffering from a historic National League Wild Card collapse last year. The latest states that the Braves could trade Martin Prado and Jair Jurrens to the Baltimore Orioles for Adam Jones. While Atlanta is denying the rumors, they seem to be doing so emphatically...
The Atlanta Braves Wish You A Merry Christmas By Performing The Worst Rendition Of "Jingle Bells" Imaginable
Kris Medlen (the puffy-cheeked one with the bent brim) is the only one who gives it any effort, and he's followed by Chipper Jones's smug sunburnt visage. Ugh. Merry Christmas.More »
AGAIN, BUT WITH FEELING!
Video: Braves' lackluster rendition of Jingle Bells
The Atlanta Braves put up this video of the team singing Jingle Bells and wow was it awful. Quite possibly the worst voices ever (in my Simon Cowell voice).
H/T to Deadspin.
Atlanta Braves in Legal Dispute Over Disney Movie 'Brave'
As many of you know the Braves blew an 8.5 game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals last year in the wild card race. This allowed the Cardinals to win the World Series. Being a huge Braves fan my whole life, I didn't think they could stoop much lower than they are right now. Only to find out they are suing Disney over a movie set to release next summer which will be called ...
Will right-hander Jurrjens end up back in club's rotation?
Could Jair Jurrjens be on the Tigers' radar? Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reported Wednesday that Detroit is one of the teams interested in the Braves' right-hander, who started his career in the Tigers' organization. Heyman said the Orioles, Red Sox, Blue Jays, Rockies and Rangers are among the other teams interested.
The Braves are ridiculous
Today comes word that the Atlanta Braves are none too thrilled about the Pixar company’s efforts to copyright the name “Brave,” which is the title of the studio’s new movie about a young Scottish girl with bright red hair who, presumably, overcomes gender stereotypes and dragons on her way to save somebody from something.
The Braves’ opposition to the studio’s copyright...
Tyler Pastornicky, 2012 Fantasy Outlook
Tyler Pastornicky was born 12/13/1989, which is crazy young, good lord.
Certainly he’s too young to have been a fifth round draft pick THREE YEARS ago by the Toronto Blue Jays. Or not, I suppose.
He made his way down to Georgia as part of the semi-big trade that exiled Yunel Escobar and his “’tude” to Canada, which isn’t a portion of the United States of America.
Still...
