Texas Rangers OF Josh Hamilton put the finishing touches on one of the greatest offensive
weeks in baseball history Sunday with a pair of hits and three more RBIs. Hamilton did not homer in Sunday's 13-6 throttling of Los Angeles, leaving him with
nine homers for the week. Hamilton tied the major league record for homers in a single
game with four on Tuesday. He set the AL record for total bases in a game with 18 in the
game. Hamilton hit .467 for the week and was walked four times (twice intentionally) for an
on-base-plus-slugging percentage of 1.963. To put a little context on Hamilton's performance for the week, a few notes: --His nine homers for the week were more than all but eight other players have hit for
the year. --His 18 home runs are five more than the San Diego Padres have hit for the year.
