It seems every year the San Francisco Giants must publicly acknowledge their concerns over Pablo Sandoval's weight.  Every year leading up to that point there are stories describing Sandoval's workout program and attempts to slim down.  This season is no different.  The Giants are once again not too happy with Sandoval's weight. According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, the Giants are not happy with Sandoval's weight, and it will be a story throughout the spring.  Sandoval's weight has been a problem his entire career and can lead to injury problems. No shock, but #SFGiants unhappy with Sandoval's weight. Ongoing issue that Sandovalcannot seem to control. Will be a story this spring. — Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) February 16, 2013 Sandoval missed some time last season due to injury, but he was still productive for the Giants.  San Francisco has a solid third baseman in Sandoval, but if his weight causes him to be injured more often than he should be, it's a problem.  If his weight costs the team runs, it's a problem. Sandoval hit .283/.342/.447 last year and made his second All-Star Game appearance.  In his career, he is a .303/.353/.490 hitter.  Sandoval hit three home runs in a single game during the World Series last year and helped the Giants to their second title in three years.
