Padilla scratched with flu-like symptoms

This flu bug is getting worse and worse. Tonight's victim is scheduled starter Vicente Padilla, who is no longer the scheduled starter. He has been scratched because of flu-like symptoms and will be replaced by Dustin Nippert. He will be making his third start of the season and has lasted 3 2/3 innings in each of the previous two. The Rangers are 1-1 when Nippert starts. Omar Vizquel was scratched from a start Tuesday, and Frank Francisco has a mild case of pneumonia and is on the DL.
