Via the Daily News: "Pedro Martinez felt so good yesterday, he accelerated his program. Martinez, originally scheduled to throw another bullpen session in Port St. Lucie, instead threw batting practice to hitters for the first time since Oct.5 rotator cuff surgery. Martinez tossed 45 pitches and remains on track for an August return."

  • Was that Fake Pedro or the real Pedro that was throwing BP. The Mets should be really careful with Martinez. Even is his arm holds up, he's not a young guy anymore. He's just as likely to hurt himself in other areas if he's rushed, muscle pulls etc. The Mets can be afford to be patient.
