It's hard to believe, but Petco Park has given up more HR's per game this year than Coors Field has. With 32 games remaining, all the Padres and their opponents would have to do to surpass last year's Petco Park total would be to hit 10 homeruns. Amazing.
San Diego moved the fences in about 7-8 feet in the offseason, but some believe construction in downtown S.D has played a big part in the power surge as well. Apartment complex's being built around the stadium's outfield backdrop have supposedly changed the wind patterns inside Petco, making easier for the ball to reach the seats.
