Philly Buster:
Jose Contreras is on the disabled list for the second time this season, and this stint will be at least four to six weeks, the Philadelphia Phillies announced.
Contreras has been officially diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain of his flexor tendon, which will sideline him until August or so. This injury is in the same area as the one he suffered back in April, and Contreras will not do any throwing for two weeks before beginning a throwing program.
Contreras has a 3.86 ERA on the season and five saves in five chances.
