Chase Utley will travel with the Philadelphia Phillies on the road trip before he competes at first-stop Clearwater. What happens at 2nd base when he returns? How often will Chase be stationed at 1st? Where does Freddy Galvis fit in?
TAL'S HANDY CAPS
Penthouse Occupancy for the 5-2 outcome: 1
The Chrystal Champagne Toast is a salute to Jake Diekman.
He has calmed down after his walking-on-air first outing, and his rushing-his-pitches second attempt.
Hunter Tracks Down The 5th-Inning Out
Hunter Pence entered the Leather Warehouse with a sliding-and-tumbling catch into foul territory in the 5th.
The House Of The Rising Son elevates Diekman for punching out all 4 left-handed sticks in the 7th and 8th over 1.2 innings. This is his 3rd standout showing in 4 tries, as he is settling into NL life.
The Whitehouse was alerted in the 8th for the 1st MLB homerun by Erik Kratz, who is here with Jimmy Rollins on maternity leave.
Hector Luna was on trial at the Kangaroo Courthouse for missing a pick-off throw in the 2nd, while Doc was charged with an errant toss.
The Outhouse was occupied by HP ump Gary Cederstrom for ejecting Chooch Ruiz with a lighting quick hook in the 3rd.
I will publish after every battle that is not washed out. The Phillies finished last summer 42 games over .500, which equaled a year of many positives. I will have many season-long highlights of puzzle pieces, especially important after drubbings and defeats.

Freddy Trying To Corral The Spinning Infield Single In The 2nd
The Rookie And The Vet:
One of the most interesting developments since February’s camp opening has been Galvis. When Jimmy inked for 3-4 campaigns, I felt that Freddy could man 3 infield positions to rest the aging defenders. That would give him plenty of AB, considering that he averaged .298 at Triple-A Lehigh Valley for 33 games after his promotion from Double-A Reading last summer. Galvis would be more valuable than Michael Martinez due to his offense.
I was surprised by his glove work because I was only anticipating above the norm. Rollins has compared him to Roberto Alomar as a second baseman, and he just began on the right side of the diamond. Alomar was known for his superiority at second, and I remember he was awarded errors on balls that his peers couldn’t reach. Freddy has 1 boot for 312 frames and is among the best at 2nd in the majors. There is one player with no miscues and 4 others at 1 for 300 innings or more. Plus, he was a shortstop by trade and has just converted to the new spot.
Chooch After Being Kicked Out When He Looked At The Blue On A Questioned Call
The even bigger surprise has been his RBI production after leading the team in that category during spring training. He has 19, which is 3rd behind Chooch (29) and Hunter (28). Over his last 13 contests, he is at .320 with 2 bombs, 11 RBI and 3 walks. He has spoiled everybody with his D, and there are concerns that Chase will be a downgrade at 2nd. We may be seeing Utley at 1st until Ryan Howard returns, if he is back before him. Plus, he can spell him there with Galvis at 2nd.
Utley’s time in the league will be probably shortened to 2012-2013 with those balky knees. Freddy may be the 2nd sacker for J-Roll’s last 2 tours. That said, will Chase be on first for 25% of his 2012 appearances?
King Cole Handles The Sox At The Bank On May 18
This is his rematch with another salvage assignment, and the stopper role is once again squarely on his shoulders. He also needs to prevent the gap between the division foes from increasing. In Washington his ledger read: 8 INN, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 8 K & 109 bullets.

Edwin Jackson Delivers A Strong Offering Against The O's At Home On May 18
He is a 50-50 guy, which means that half of his 8 starts are good and the others are not. He has 3 clunkers. He had a no-hitter a couple years ago with a sky-high free-pass accumulation. You just don’t know what to expect from him.

The program acronym is for Methodical Algorithmic Computerization or Mac. That is the feed system that had dogged me an entire month, but it allows me now to probe for a compatible solution. This only involves readers who were directed here from Fox Sports. The links in this section were recently passed over by a computer’s judgment. Does the national-and-all-major-sports machine understand Phillies commentary better than local fans? I discovered that the buttons and lights objected the most to the storyline when I submitted only that part. So, when the electrodes decide a Nitecap Insight isn’t to their liking, I’ll give my transferred readers a viewing opportunity the next day. I’ll keep score of acceptable to rejected submissions, because I don’t want a large readership excluded or my time wasted.
