When the bullpen gate opens, the only certainty for the Philadelphia Phillies is Jonathan Papelbon.  That circumstance mirrors my own.  I finally make sense of the numbers and then here comes Sir Charles, which is known as the deuce or curveball.

Vic Avoids 8th-Inning Inside Pitch

Mac, their feed computer, was out of order, which meant neither acceptance nor rejection. Since this problem is still there a day later, it might continue until Monday, which sets up another day delay for my next commentary. This malfunction stopped all feeds, not just mine. Please, bear with me. These articles require a large chunk of time and I have to maximize availability, if I want continued sanity. My preference would be to write about the red pinstripes. So, here is the link to The Height Of The Wall.

Philadelphia Phillies storyline: the opponent’s value

I will publish after every battle that is not washed out. The Phillies finished last summer 42 games over .500, which equaled a year of many positives. I will have many season-long highlights of puzzle pieces, especially important after drubbings and defeats.

If you were directed here by a feed and this review does not mention yesterday’s contest, please go to my author archives or Phillies page for my most recent coverage. (Early morning readers may arrive before the latest post.) Scroll down to Tal’s Handy Links at the bottom. Thank you.

Bryce Harper Lines Into 3rd-Frame DP

Yesterday’s 7-1 outcome was an event at the Blood Bath House.

The House Of Horrors was an adventure for Vance Worley, having runners in scoring position during the first 4 frames. Then, two rockets disappeared over the fence in the 5th and 6th.

The Leather Warehouse honored Chooch Ruiz for his glove work to end the 5th-inning uprising.

The Glass House of southpaw Joe Savery had a shattered wall with a 2-run bomb from the left-handed stick he faced in the 7th. Savery or Michael Schwimer will be at Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Wednesday, when Cliff Lee makes his triumphant return. Brian Sanches, who has had 2 consecutive successful tours, will probably stay, because the younger wings have struggled repeatedly. As a result, Michael Stutes and David Herndon are not in any danger of losing their jobs during their DL stints.

King Cole Rules At The Ted On May 1

Cole Hamels:

This is a early test for him because the team needs a stopper.  There is an urgency to salvage 1 game of this series.  That would put them at 3-3 for the 2 sets and still within striking distance.  Other than a mediocre first showing, he is money every 5th day.

Jordan Zimmermann Works At Home Against The D-Backs On May 1

Jordan Zimmermann:

Like Worley, this is his 2nd campaign and he is still thriving after being exposed.  He has top-of-the-rotation potential as a two.  He is another tough customer on the bump, but his opponent is even harder to deal with.

The program acronym is for Methodical Algorithmic Computerization or Mac.  That is the feed system that has dogged me the entire month, but it allows me now to probe for a compatible solution.  This only involves readers who were directed here from Fox Sports.  The 2 links–Radar updated to May 2– in this section were recently passed over by a computer’s judgment.  Does the national-and-all-major-sports machine understand Phillies commentary better than local fans?  I discovered that the buttons and lights objected the most to the storyline when I submitted only that part.  So, when the electrodes decide a Nitecap Insight isn’t to their liking, I’ll give my transferred readers a viewing opportunity the next day.  I’ll keep score of acceptable to rejected submissions, because I don’t want a large readership excluded or my time wasted.

Philadelphia Phillies storyline: burn rate

If the algorithm okays my last article for a full audience, Philadelphia Phillies storyline: first and last is tomorrow’s review.

There are previews–time permitting–of my next storyline at Tal’s Handy Caps on Facebook.  Join for notification of future glimpses, which will be almost daily.  You’ll also know immediately when my isportsweb post goes up.  It might be worth your while because I have seen delays of 2 hours on feeds.

Check out my previous publication (Ruth Or Mays) and the 42 storylines–so far–for 2012 on the Phillies page or my author archives, where there is an excerpt photo.  The Apocalyptic Horsemen Stats are in my recent review.

Tal’s Handy Stats is daily coverage. I am alternating the 2012 ERA For The NL East and the 2012 ERA For The MLB 5. Thank you, to all who bookmarked the Phillies page, because feeds are erratic at times.
