Found January 25, 2012 on We Should Be GM's:
Last year I ran in the freezing temperatures of the Phillies 1st Annual Charities 5K. Once again, I will be lacing up the running shoes for this event. The 2nd Annual Annual Phillies Charities 5K will take place on March 31st at Citizens Bank Park. Participants get a t-shirt, 2 tickets to the On-Deck series versus the Pirates on April 2nd or 3rd, and the chance to get themselves into shape while helping out a good cause. I finished at 26 minutes 38 seconds last year. This year, I'm shooting for under 25. 5K = 3.1 miles. Other Stuff:*Would you rather have Albert Pujols at 10 yr $240M, Prince Fielder at 9 yr $214M, or Ryan Howard at 5 yr $125M?*How do you feel about the Phillies bullpen, would you welcome back Brad Lidge on small 1 year deal?

Brad Lidge – Forever a Phillie

Brad Lidge, an integral part of the Philadelphia Phillies 2008 Championship season, signed a 1-year $1 million deal with the Washington Nationals today. For me, Brad Lidge will always have a special place. He will walk with the late Tug McGraw, linked eternally as the only two Philadelphia Phillies’ pitchers on the mound at the exact moment a World Series was won. Hopefully...

Just Say No to Francisco Cordero (And Brad Lidge, too)

Francisco Cordero. (MLB)It’s not that I don’t like the two relief pitchers. Brad Lidge will always have a place in my heart. He’ll go down as one of the best relievers in Phillies history, not to mention the most famous for his pose after throwing that beautiful slider to Carlos Ruiz in the 2008 World Series. We’ll always have those memories.Francisco Cordero...

Report: Nationals Sign Reliever Brad Lidge

The Washington Nationals have signed RHP Brad Lidge for the 2012 season, according to Bill Ladson of MLB.com.  It is a one-year deal according to the Nationals PR Twitter account.  The former Philadelphia Phillies closer was a free agent after a disappointing 2011 season, where he missed 97 games with a rotator cuff injury.  He posted a 1.40 ERA, but had an inflated 1.500 WHIP...

Nationals Add Brad Lidge To A Strong Bullpen

The Nationals have agreed to sign free agent right-hander Brad Lidge to a one-year deal worth a guaranteed $1 million plus incentives, the team has announced. Lidge, 35, posted a 1.40 ERA last season, but was limited to 25 games due to shoulder problems, and he ended up losing his closer’s job to Ryan Madson. However, he did save 27 games and had a 2.96 ERA for the Phillies...

Can Brad Lidge solidify Nats bullpen?

A couple of days after missing out on a marquee free agent (Prince Fielder), the Washington Nationals signed former All-Star closer Brad Lidge to a one-year contract. Lidge, 35, will make $1 million guaranteed and potentially a lot more with incentives. Will this move solidify the Nats’ bullpen and help them possibly contend in 2012? Washington may have had the best duo of...

Nationals Sign Big-Name Reliever

The Nats signed Brad Lidge to a one-year deal, which really isn’t a big deal. But, because Lidge has 223 saves, people have heard of him, so it kind of is. Either way, when I hear “Brad Lidge” this is all that comes to mind: Thankfully Mr. Pujols now plies his trade in the American League.
