According to the Phillies' website, the team's rotation hasn't been set beyond Game 1 of the World Series.
Lefthander Cliff Lee is all but certain to be on the mound in Wednesday's opener, but manager Charlie Manuel told reporters that he and his coaching staff would discuss the rest of their rotation plans over the weekend.
Lefthander Cole Hamels is the most likely choice to start Game 2, but he has a 6.75 ERA in three starts this postseason. "Cole's got to step back and just understand it's about making pitches," pitching coach Rich Dubee told the Phillies' website. "I think he's put a lot of pressure on himself. He's getting caught up in more emotions than focusing on what he needs to do."
As for Pedro Martinez, Manuel said he plans to start the veteran righthander in the World Series, making him a likely candidate to start Game 3. For Game 4, the options are rookie left...
