The Pirates recalled Ross Ohlendorf from Class AAA Indianapolis to start the game Tuesday night, the first time he has pitched in the majors since April 8. They designated Joe Beimel for assignment to make room for Ohlendorf. Ohlendorf started two games this season, but he left his second start in the third inning because of shoulder pain.
