The Pittsburgh Pirates will be holding their annual PirateFest this weekend at the Convention Center. I’ve never been to a PirateFest before, so if you’re looking for a good guide on what to expect, you should check out Tom’s preview over at Rumbunter.

Pirates Prospects will have a booth at the event this year, selling copies of the 2012 Prospect Guide. I will be at the booth all weekend, and will be joined by Matt Bandi and Kevin Creagh at times throughout the weekend.

The first 100 people who buy a copy of the Prospect Guide will receive a copy of the 2011 Prospect Guide for free. Also, every copy of the Prospect Guide sold at PirateFest will include a coupon for $5 off the 2012 Annual, which will be released in February. The Annual will go on pre-sales at the beginning of next week, and you will be able to use the coupon code during the pre-sale period.

Stop by the booth this weekend and pick up a copy of the Prospect Guide, or just stop by to say hello and talk some Pirates baseball.

Two side notes on the Prospect Guide:

-If you’ve already ordered a copy of the Guide, it has now been shipped. You should have received a tracking number to use to track the shipment. I looked at a few estimates and saw that the books were expected to arrive in Pittsburgh by Monday. Also, all of the pre-sales include a coupon for the 2012 Annual.

-If you’re placing an order online for the Prospect Guide, I’m currently out of stock. If there are any left over from PirateFest, I’ll be able to ship those out Monday morning. Otherwise I’ll be waiting for the next shipment to arrive, which should get here by the end of the month.
