If your going to have a big ball park, which relies heavily on defense and pitching for your success, then the Mets need to focus on their rotation. While it's not what I'd like to see, if Mets failed to sign one positional player they would still have a solid defense and a scrappy offense, that with the addition of the injured would keep them competitive. 1B- Murphy2B- CastilloSS- Reyes3B- WrightLF- PaganCF- BeltranRF- FrancoeurC - SantosBench- Ahern, Carter, Sullivan, Evans and TholeNow this line-up in no way is ideal and I'd be disappointed if that's what were looking at in March, but realistically with the signs that the Wilpon's are financially struggling it wouldn't surprise me if this happened. If they can only address one area then it needs to be the rotation, this offense/defense can at least compete but without another solid starter, this rotation is in trouble.
