Already out for some time with elbow issues, the New York Yankees’ Rafael Soriano will take a visit to see Dr. James Andrews.  Dr. Andrews is kind of a grim reaper of sorts.  Elbow injuries don’t threaten a career quite like they used to, but they certainly put a wrench in one and the name Dr. Andrews  compliments Tommy John surgery like apple pie and ice cream. In the meantime, Soriano will be shut down indefinitely.  To be honest, I’ve been viewing this situation as if he’s going to be lost for the year.  I’ll hold off on any rants until something definitive happens, but this signing has been a disaster from day one and it has only gone down hill.  I’ll be holding my breath until we hear some more news regarding Soriano’s diagnosis and prognosis.
