Although Hanley Ramirez hasn't been making much of an impact for the Marlins this season, the team still wants the three-time All Star in its lineup. But that won't happen for a while because of Ramirez's failure to take care of an injured right hand. Ramirez missed a third straight start Sunday because of an infection in a cut on his knuckles. It's bad enough that Ramirez suffered the cut, which required stitches, because he punched a cooling fan after a frustrating at-bat July 8. His latest issue arose because he forgot to take medication for the cut. He said he didn't take his antibiotics on Thursday. He woke up Friday with bad swelling. Manager Ozzie Guillen said Ramirez might not return to action until the middle of the week at the earliest, meaning he could miss Miami's three-game series with the Braves.
