Rangers 5, Blue Jays 2 (Final, Game 2)

The Rangers once again showed they can bounce back. After a bad 18-10 loss on Monday, Texas swept a doubleheader today. It appears Boston is going to win, so the Rangers will only gain a 1/2 game on them. But the Rangers really needed the two solid games they got from Dustin Nippert and Brandon McCarthy. DIscuss: • Brandon McCarthy. That was a great return start. He hasn't pitched for the Rangers since June, but didn't show much rust. His velocity wasn't super high, but he had great location, used his curve well and got hitters to put balls in play and let his defense help him. It was a solid outing.
