Found June 24, 2012 on MyTeamRivals.com:
I was surprised and delighted to find I actually got to watch today’s game.  It was on in the afternoon, and I don’t live in the Dallas market, so I figured I’d be blacked out of the broadcast.  Not so.  Of course, maybe I shouldn’t be posting that … FSSW and MLB might catch on and fix it.  Oops. At first, I wasn’t sure I should be glad I got to watch the game as Colby Lewis gave up eight runs on ten soft hits in the first four innings.  Lewis’ undefeated streak in interleague play was in jeopardy.  And I was quickly lowing enjoyment of the game. I wasn’t so sure the Rangers’ offense could overcome that defecit.  They got one run in the bottom of the 4th, but then Michael Kirkman gave up three quick runs in the 5th.  The score was now 11-1, and I was close to turning it off. And then … the bottom of the 5th happened.  With two on and two outs, Adrian Beltre and Michael Young each hit an RBI single.  Nelson Cruz stepped up and delivered a three-run bomb. Rangers fan does the worm after catching HR

A Texas Rangers fan celebrated his catch of a three-run home run by Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz by doing "the worm" during Saturday's game against the Colorado Rockies. Your browser does not support iframes. In the bottom of the fifth, the fan made his way onto the grassy area behind center field at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington and reached over the railing to...

Rangers stay calm despite offensive woes

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Rangers have won seven games in a row, but for once the offense isn't leading the way. The Rangers are hitting .280 as a team with 40 runs scored during the winning streak, but they are hitting just .258 over their last 15 games. If you're looking for manager Ron Washington to juggle the lineup, keep looking. "No doubt about it," Washington...

Familiar face helps Texas continue dominance

ARLINGTON, Texas The Rangers continued their domination of National League teams Friday by unveiling a former National League pitcher. Roy Oswalt made his debut in an American League uniform and helped the Rangers improve to 13-3 in interleague play in a 4-1 win over Colorado. The 34-year-old Oswalt, a three-time National League All-Star, made just four minor league starts after...

Hamilton hoping to break out of slump

ARLINGTON, Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington had one word of advice for struggling slugger Josh Hamilton: patience. "That don't mean stop swinging the bat," Washington said. "It's just, start recognizing and swinging at strikes. Start thinking a little bit." Hamilton struck out four times in an 0-for-5 outing Saturday, on the heels of Friday'...

Rangers slugger Josh Hamilton’s life to be made into a movie written and directed by Casey Affleck

Texas Rangers superstar Josh Hamilton’s life is a story of temptation, failure, and outright despair turned success and redemption as he overcame a crippling drug addiction to become one of the most feared hitters in all of baseball.  Sure he’s had a couple of slip-ups over the last few years, but for the most part he’s been clean and sober since 2005, thanks in large part...

Rangers' record 22nd sellout, pass 1.5M attendance

The Texas Rangers have surpassed 1.5 million in attendance with their franchise-record 22nd sellout of the season. With an announced crowd of 45,407 for Sunday night's game against Colorado, the Rangers have a total home attendance of 1,532,530 in 35 dates. It is the fastest the team has reached that mark. In 1994, the strike-shortened season that Rangers Ballpark opened, the...

Despite stiff back, Rangers' Harrison expected to make next start

There may be only one thing that could prevent left-hander Matt Harrison from making his first All-Star team. That would be Harrison himself. On Sunday, Harrison demonstrated just how fragile his All-Star bid could be by pitching five shutout innings in Texas' 4-2 win over Colorado and then leaving with a slightly stiff back. The five innings put him in position to tie...

Minor Accomplishments for Week 11

The Rangers have promoted two pitchers from their minor league ranks to fill openings in the big league rotation.  Familiar fantasy face, Roy Oswalt, is one of the two.  The other is 23-year-old Justin Grimm, who debuted last week and was rather effective.  Grimm was having a nice campaign in Double-A — nothing eye-popping, but he was among the most efficient pitchers in the...

Fantasy Baseball Daily Fix: June 23, 2012: Roy Oswalt Returns, Jason Hammel Shines

Just when everyone thought the Texas Rangers could not get any stronger – they do. The team is riding their second longest winning streak of the season and continues to pace the AL West. By adding SP Roy Oswalt on a low-risk contract, Nolan Ryan’s squad looks like the favorite to play in the October Classic. As for Oswalt, he made his debut for Texas on Friday, June 22, 2012...

The 24-year-old Bass departed his last start against the Texas Rangers after 60 pitches last Wednesday afternoon due to an inflamed right shoulder. Tigers-Rangers Preview

Detroit Tigers starter Rick Porcello has struggled in the past against the Texas Rangers, with Josh Hamilton doing some of that damage this year. Porcello's worst career regular-season ERA against an AL opponent is the work of the high-scoring Rangers heading into the opener of a three-game set Monday night in Arlington. The right-hander is 1-2 with a 12.27 ERA in three outings...
