Friday night in the Big K was a bit of a snooze. Except for that three-run blast by Mitch Moreland. And I missed that part because I was out watering my plants. You’re welcome, Rangers fans. One of my twitter friends said she was sending me outside to water the next time the Rangers need a big home run. I accept.
Matt Harrison wasn’t great. He also wasn’t terrible. He was just good enough to hold the Royals to two runs over 6.2 innings. His tendency to induce double play balls definitely helped him out there. He only got three strikeouts, but the infield turned two sweet double plays behind him. Hope he buys them each a drink tonight.
The Rangers’ offense is probably a little tired after two slugfests with the Angels. Although they took most of July off, so maybe not. Everyone except Nelson Cruz and Geovany Soto had a hit, but Soto took a walk, so Cruz is the only one who didn’t reach base. But that’s OK, Nellie. You’ll get back at it tomorrow, I’m sure.
