The Texas Rangers know who they're playing in the World Series.
Yet, the American League champions don't really know the St. Louis Cardinals.
Michael Young, the longest-tenured Ranger, is the lone player left in Texas who took part in the only series between the teams. That was in 2004 - or as Young put it, ''a long time ago.'' All he really remembers from that three-game set is Chris Carpenter started once for St. Louis.
The Rangers are headed to their second consecutive World Series and will play a game in St. Louis for the first time in Game 1 on Wednesday night.
