Things are not going well for the Rangers, who could fall out of first place tonight when the Angels take on the Dodgers. Texas lost 3-2 to the Giants today and were swept.
Discuss:
• Offense. Right now, it is abysmal. And I'm really not sure what manager Ron Washington can do about it. I would think he'd shake up the lineup as much as he could, though he's doing some of that now (we'll get into that more tomorrow). We'll talk more about the ugly numbers, but how about six hits in the last 20 innings. Goodness.
• Kevin Millwood. He did all he could do with 10 strikeouts in 7 innings. But when the game was tied, he immediately gave up a run. The Rangers' seem to have a penchant for not being able to get the shutdown inning. Still, Millwood did plenty to get a win. He just got no run support.
• Nelson Cruz. Is it the sun that keeps bothering him or is he having trouble taking angles on balls? Either way, it seems like his defense isn't...
