David Murphy and Julio Borbon hit solo homers in the second and third innings, and Tommy Hunter has surrendered two singles in three innings as the Rangers lead Cleveland 2-0 at a mostly empty Progressive Field.
"Mostly empty" isn't an accurate description. There might be more than 1,000 people here now, but that wasn't the case at first pitch. It was so quiet that people in the press box -- and it's a high press box -- could here the skidding sound Shin Soo Choo made as he slid into second base in the first inning. It was weird.
