Texas Rangers rookie righthander Alexi Ogando will get some extra rest for the stretch run.
The Rangers said that Ogando will not make his next start until Sept. 24 against Seattle.
Ogando (13-8) won his first seven decisions this season but had gone five starts without a victory until blanking Cleveland on two hits in six innings last time out.
Skipping a turn in the rotation will give the 27-year-old Ogando nine days between starts.
