Josh Hamilton went 0-for-4 against Iowa on Thursday in his second rehab game with Triple-A Oklahoma City, but afterward said that his timing is there even if the results aren't. He will play at Principal Park again tonight, starting in center field. He could be back with the Rangers on Saturday, though he said he will stay on assignment as long as the Rangers tell him to stay.
Hamilton was the main attraction, but there were a few others:
• Kris Benson threw around 70 pitches in the bullpen as he tried to simulate a game. He said he's no longer limited by the elbow issue that was preventing him from finishing off his pitches and keeping them very flat and hittable. He's on the OKC disabled list, but said he should be ready to start a game early next week.
• Willie Eyre started Wednesday, throwing three innings, and will start again in a few days as the Rangers try to get him stretched out to be better suited for a long relief role. Doug Mathis is holding t...
