Boston Red Sox fans may not have to wait much longer to see the team’s top pitching prospect in Fenway Park. The Providence Journal‘s Brian Macpherson reports that the Red Sox have invited left-handed pitcher Henry Owens to their rookie development camp. This camp is meant for players expected to have a strong chance of reaching the Major Leagues some time during the current season. In his two seasons, he has a record of 23-11, 3.61 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 11.4 SO/9 ratio at three levels. He was even better in 2013: 11-6, 2.67 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 11.2 SO/9 in 26 games, mostly with High-A Salem  (20) but also with Double-A  Portland (6). He was 3-1, 1.78 in Portland. Owens has the a...

Will Rings & Countrymen Lure Tanaka To Hub?

It's clearly a longshot, but there's no reason to believe that Masahiro Tanaka wouldn't at least consider signing with the Boston Red Sox.
