Found September 01, 2012 on Redlegs Review:
Now we know who the Reds will call up to fill out the expanded September rosters. As of now there will be seven players who will get the call. Some of them are familiar names to Cincinnati fans, while others will be making their debuts for the Redlegs. The Big "O" Logan Ondrusek will be coming back on September 1. You'll remember he was unlucky and got optioned to Louisville when Devin Mesoraco got suspended. Joining Ondrusek on the 1st will be infielder Henry Rodriguez, shortstop Didi Gregorius, and outfielder Denis Phipps. The afformentioned Mesoraco will rejoin the team on Sunday. Right-handed pitchers Todd Redmond and Pedro Villarreal will come to Cincinnati on Tuesday.  Most notably, you see that Billy Hamilton is not mentioned among the names who will be called up in September. Collective sad face across Cincinnati, right? At least Joey Votto will be back soon. As of now it seems like he will be activated on Monda...

Todd Frazier named one of ten top prospects finally living up to potential

More ink for Reds rookie Todd Frazier as Ben Lindbergh of Baseball Prospectus recently tabbed him as one of ten top prospects finally living up to their potential. It's probably a stretch to say that anyone around the Reds organization ever became frustrated with his development, but here's what Lindbergh had to say about him nevertheless: Frazier's greatest problem...

Fan creates Cincinnati Reds-themed corn maze

First off, how cool is this? What you behold here is the beautiful work of Bill Irons, a 44-year old married father of four and a devoted Reds fan, who turned his massive 12-acre corn patch into a Cincinnati Reds-themed maze. This marks the 13th consecutive year that the Lebanon, Ohio native has sculpted such a creative design into his patch of corn. Last year the theme was zoo...

On this date in Reds history

Both accounts are derived from Redleg Journal: September 1st, 1954 - In a pre-game stunt, Reds GM Gabe Paul offers $25 to each Reds and Giants catcher who would attempt to catch balls dropped 575 feet from an Army helicopter hovering high above Crosley Field. An additional $100 would be awarded to the willing participant for each ball caught. Only the Giants'...

Reds All-Decade Team (2000's)

If you're a Cincinnati Reds fan you know the future of the franchise is very bright. The next several years should bring us all plenty of great Redlegs memories and victories. However, I think it'd be fun to take a look back at some of the past years to remember some of the best players from the 2000-2009 Reds teams. I've taken the liberty to build a...

On a hot streak, Arroyo going for series win

Based on the way Bronson Arroyo has pitched of late, he should give the Cincinnati Reds a good chance to bounce back from a frustrating defeat. The veteran right-hander can win five consecutive starts for the first time in four years Sunday in the NL Central-leading Reds' decisive series finale against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. Arroyo (11-7, 3.84 ERA) is 4-0 with...
