This is funny: ‘We’ve been doing things [in the clubhouse] the last two weeks of the season that we hadn’t done all year, that we did last year and the year before last,’’ shortstop Ryan Theriot said. ‘‘It’s definitely a different feel. I don’t know why that is. I’m not going to sit here and say it’s one person’s fault. But you start to look at it, and it’s kind of like, ‘Maybe.’ I don’t know.’‘ It’s made such a difference that the team went 8-6 and trailed 3-0 against the Pirates before it was rained out (the .837 losses based on win expectancy). They were so relaxed they scored 56 runs in those 14+ games. That’s about 3.9 runs per game. Is it really that hard for the media to call these guys out for such **** like this? If this is how relaxed the clubhouse is going to be next year, it will at least be funny.
