Former Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda was recovering Tuesday after suffering a mild heart attack, TMZ reported. Lasorda, 84, was reportedly hospitalized in New York, where he had traveled to represent the Dodgers at the MLB draft, which began Monday night in nearby Secaucus, N.J. The website reported that Lasorda is recovering and is expected to be released Wednesday. He did not show up Tuesday afternoon when the second round of the draft started. Lasorda has been with the Dodgers organization for more than 60 years, currently serving as "Special Adviser to the Chairman" in the team's front office. He managed the team to World Series titles in 1981 and '88 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1997.
