The present and future of the New York Mets is Matt Harvey, and the rookie phenom is now heading to the DL with what is being called a torn UCL in his elbow. It is unclear whether or not Harvey will need to undergo surgery, but his 2013 season is over. Ironically, Harvey was set to be shutdown once he hit his inning limit. Harvey has had a phenomenal rookie season, with a 2.27 ERA in 26 starts, reminding many in Queens of Doc Gooden in terms of talent at such a young age.
