Earlier it was reported that the Phillies were shopping 3rd baseman Placido Polanco.
Whether they have had a change of heart or found no interest, the Phillies have apparently had a change of heart according to Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com
It's not surprising to see their was no interest in Polanco. Rosenthal also mentioned that the decision to no longer shop Polanco has taken the Phillies out of the Aramis Ramirez sweepstakes.

Ruben Amaro likes to get down to business and this year seems no different at the Winter Meetings for the Philadelphia Phillies. Rumors abounded today and two that everyone seem to be following concern third baseman Aramis Ramirez and shortstop Jimmy Rollins.
Meetings with Ramirez's agent are heating up and the free agent would bring a right handed .300 hitter to their lineup...

The Hot Stove is warm and toasty. However, with the Philadelphia Phillies 2012 squad mostly set, there aren't many rumors out there involving them and free agents. The Phillies are actively trying to trade third baseman Placido Polanco, a rival executive tells Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports. That'd open up third base for free agent Aramis Ramirez, for whom the Phillies are reportedly strong players. Polanco, 36, is owed $7.25MM through 2012.
