Camden Riversharks Press Release
CAMDEN, N.J. – The Camden Riversharks have signed former New York Mets first baseman/outfielder, Valentino Pascucci.
Pascucci, a 1999 draft pick by the Montreal Expos, had a brief stint with the Camden Riversharks in 2010 and was a midseason signing by the New York Mets. In 2011, Pascucci went 3-for-11 with a home run in a September call-up from AAA-affiliate, the Buffalo Bisons.
The Riversharks also signed two players as they continue to build their roster for the 2013 season. Infielder Ruddy Yan and catcher Raul Padron will join Camden for the 2013 campaign.
Yan, who played with the Riversharks in 2011, enters his 13th season of his career after spending much of his career within the minor league-affiliates of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago White Sox and the Texas Rangers. Padron, a 10-year veteran returns to the Riversharks after playing in Camden intermittently since 2010.
“The inclusion of Pascucci, Yan and Padron on our roster for 2013 is as good of a start as we could have hoped for as we build our team for this season,” said Adam Lorber, General Manager of the Camden Riversharks. “Their veteran presence and experience will be useful tools in mentoring some of the younger members on our team.”

Frank Francisco told reporters Tuesday that he is still dealing with inflammation in his right elbow and has been temporarily shut down.
