Again, Alomar HIV Accusations Surface

Roberto Alomar is facing familiar accusations, this time from a source very close-to-home. Alomar's wife, Maria Del Pilar, is accusing Alomar in divorce court of knowingly exposing her to HIV. In papers filed, Pilar claims that Alomar, "intentionally, with corrupt intent, concealed from [her] his physical condition" in order to convince Pilar to have unprotected sex with him. Last year, Alomar faced a lawsuit from Ilya Dall, a former girlfriend, who accused Alomar of having unprotected sex with her while knowingly having HIV. At the time, Sandy Alomar, Roberto's father and former major leaguer, expressed doubt over the situation. That lawsuit was settled last May. Pilar defended Alomar at the time.
