Troy Tulowitzki Player Projection No. 6

Key Stats: Troy Tulowitzki had an OPS over .900 last season - a feat no other shortstop acheived. It was the third consecutive season that Tulo had an OPS that season. The debate of Tulo versus Hanley Ramirez that was out in full force last year and non-existent (against Tulo) the year before is now completely in Tulo's favor. Skeptics Say: Tulo has seen his steals drop from...

Jim Tracy's Assessment of Ubaldo Jimenez Warranted After Hurler's Bush League Antics

Colorado Rockies manager Jim Tracy has forgotten more baseball than most of us have seen. He's a baseball lifer whose job is to impart baseball knowledge on men who get paid truck loads of money to play the game. So when Tracy gives his opinion on something in the game, it would be smart to listen. And it's tough to disagree with anything the 56-year-old baseball man said...

Jimenez Suspension Is Pure B.S. Is MLB Trying To Catch Up To The NFL?

M.L.B. suspending Indians pitcher Ubaldo Jemenez for five games is crazy. Doesn’t M.L.B. pay any attention to what’s going on? Ever since Jimenez was traded to the Cleveland Indians he has suffered control problems. Jimenez is not the pitcher that can pin point the pitch and hit a guy on the elbow at will. If he could do that he wouldn’t be having so many problems when he is...

Colorado Rockies

Colorado has two of the best young players in baseball: Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki. Both are franchise players with all five tools. Both are also under the age of 28. On the flip side, Jaime Moyer and Todd Helton are two of the oldest players in the league. Yet, they are no scrubs. After getting swept by the Red Sox in the 2007 World Series it has been an odd experience...

Jim Tracy says Ubaldo Jimenez hitting Troy Tulowitzki was most gutless act he’s seen in baseball

Bad blood rarely boils over during spring training games, but it happens. If not for Ubaldo Jimenez, we may have made it through an entire spring training without a bench-clearing incident. Jimenez, who now pitches for the Indians, drilled former teammate Troy Tulowitzki in the elbow on Sunday. The Indians insist the ball got away from him, but Jimenez reportedly threw his glove...

Report: Ubaldo Jimenez Gets Five-Game Ban for Plunking Former Teammate Troy Tulowitzki

A day after Indians pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez drilled former Colorado Rockies teammate Troy Tulowitzki in a spring training game, Major League Baseball has issued a brushback of its own. Jimenez will receive a five-game suspension and a fine for "intentionally" throwing at Tulowitzski, MLB tweeted Monday night. Jimenez said earlier Monday that he didn't think a suspension...

MLB Preview – Colorado Rockies

2011 Review: The 2011 season was one to forget for the Rockies. After an impressive season from ace Ubaldo Jimenez in 2010, the pitcher completely crumbled. He looked like a shell of his former self. It got to the point where they traded him at the deadline to the Cleveland Indians when it appeared the team had no where to go. They did net 2 good pitching prospects in Drew Pomeranz...
