The Colorado Rockies signed veteran pitcher Roy Oswalt to a minor league deal on Thursday. Oswalt posted a 5.80 ERA in 17 appearances with Texas last season. Oswalt will report to extended spring training before being assigned to a minor league team. During his time away from the game, Oswalt has been staying in shape at home in Mississippi. If Oswalt has anything left in his arm then it will not take long before he arrives at the major league level. Oswalt had been one of the majors best pitchers prior to his 2012 season with the Rangers. He has a career 163-96 record, 3.28 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP.
