The Rockies on Saturday made more moves to help shore up their farm system, trading infielder Alfredo Amezaga to the Florida Marlins for minor-league infielder Jesus Merchan. Amezaga will return to the team he played for from 2006-09. Merchan this season for the Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs is hitting .268 in 58 games, with 1 home run and 17 RBIs. He also has 18 strikeouts.
