According to Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star, the Royals have agreed on a one-year deal with right handed pitcher Kyle Davies. Both sides have avoided arbitration with this agreement.

The 27-year old Davies was 8-12 with a 5.34 ERA in 183,2 innings and 32 starts in 2010 with the Royals.
