Kansas City Royals catcher Matt Treanor left Saturday's game against Cleveland following a collision at home plate. Treanor was sent to the hospital for a CT scan. The Royals placed him on the seven-day concussion list. He was injured when Cleveland's Matt LaPorta attempted to bowl him over at home plate. Treanor's head appeared to take the brunt of the blow from LaPorta's shoulder.
