The Kansas City Royals placed righthander Kyle Davies on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a right shoulder impingement. Davis has not pitched singed giving up one run on five hits in six innings against Boston on July 25. The 27-year-old Davies has lost his last eight decisions and is 1-9 with a 6.75 ERA in 13 starts this year.
