New York Yankees ace CC Sabathia might miss his next start because of soreness in his left elbow. The New York Daily News reported that Sabathia's elbow has been sore since his last outing against the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday. He allowed five runs (three earned) and struck out seven batters over 6 2/3 innings in the win. Sabathia was seen with an ice pack on his left elbow on Saturday. "He's OK," manager Joe Girardi said. "It's just preventive stuff that all our guys do." Sabathia missed nearly a month in parts of June and July with a left groin strain. He is 3-0 with a 3.89 ERA and has struck out 35 in 34 2/3 innings since coming off the DL. The 32-year-old is 12-3 with a 3.56 ERA this season.
