San Francisco Giants
The Manti Te’o saga is perhaps the most bizarre, twisted, surreal, sad, hilarious, horrifying story to ever dominate national sports and news headlines. So, naturally it’s being turned into a minor league baseball promotion.
The San Jose Giants, the San Francisco Giants’ Class-A affiliate, on April 12 will be holding “Lennay Kekua Night,” named for Te’o's fake dead girlfriend. Here’s some amazing info on the night from the team’s press release:
Items such as catfish will be featured on the Turkey Mike’s BBQ menu and fans who purchase a game ticket can bring their imaginary or real significant other to the game for free. A meet and greet will also take place prior to the game for all couples to introduce their significant others to their parents, to avoid any confusion about the existence of a boyfriend or girlfriend.
Two free future game tickets will be given to all fans who dress like Manti Te’o and to all Stanford University students because they may know or be Te’o's gir...

Wilson doubtful to return to Giants
Brian Wilson is a free agent and the Giants do no expected to have him back. Wilson has spent his entire career with the Giants.
Brian Wilson Will Not Return to Giants
As soon as the San Francisco Giants non-tendered Brian Wilson, it was unlikely that he would return to the club. Now it seems to be a certainty. Wilson recently worked out for the New York Mets, but the team has not made any contract offers that we are aware of. Of course, this means Wilson is still free for the taking. But the Giants won't be taking him.
