Alex Sanabia pitched for the first time in San Diego as a Major Leaguer and fell to 2-5 in the process.   The San Diego native was the pitcher of record in the Miami Marlins’ 5-1 loss to the Padres.  Miami has now scored only 1 run combined in two games after putting up a season high 14 in Philadelphia.  The Padres who also have a losing record have outscored the Marlins 10-1. Sanabia allowed nine hits and four runs with all of those coming in the first two innings.   The young right-hander saw his E.R.A rise to 4.85 but is currently not in danger of losing his rotation spot.   Ryan Webb relieved Sanabia and had one of his better appearances of the year striking out three in one and two third perfect innings.  A.J. Ramos rounded out the relief corps with two innings of one run ball.   Ramos struck out three batters of his own and now has a 3.32 E.R.A. With a lefty on the mound, Matt Diaz received a start and tallied an extra base hit for Miami.   Diaz doubled for the first time this season and also scored the lone run which was knocked in Marcell Ozuna.  The young slugger also doubled to give him five on the year in a two hit day.   The Marlins left six runners on base in a day where the team as 1-6 with runners in scoring position. Miami will try to salvage the series finale on Wednesday with Ricky Nolasco set to start.
