You may be wondering- Why exactly does Cory Sullivan deserve a featured post on WSBGMs? Well, it's Saturday, spring training hasn't started yet and there's really not much worth writing about. So, say hello to Cory Sullivan, the newest member of has-beens that Amaro has signed to minor league contracts to add "depth" to the organization. Hey, at least it wasn't Sarge Jr.Anyway, the 31 year old Pennsylvania born Sullivan is a veteran of 6 MLB seasons; mostly with the Rockies, but also with the Mets and Astros. He's played all 3 outfield positions and owns a .271/.708 AVG/OPS in 476 games (although he hit only .188/.492 last year). Attempting to put a positive spin on this, I would like to point out that he's killed the horsehide in Citizens Bank Park (.372/1.030 in 50 plate appearances).Bet you can't wait to see him patrol center field this season...in Allentown.
