Via….. everyone, Ian Snell has officially been DFA’d. I say officially because we all knew this was coming – the Snell experiment has been a failure pretty much from day 1, and he never really showed us any of that promise we were all hoping for. With 2010 basically finished, there was reason to keep him around, and you have to assume that the team finally decided they weren’t going to be able to fix him. At this point, I’m not sure if anyone can.
To take his place on the roster is veteran reliever Brian Sweeney, who was previously sitting in Tacoma. I’d bank on him only being around until Fister returns from the DL.
