As the Los Angeles Angels look to even their Opening Day weekend series against Kansas City Royals, all eyes will be on left-handed pitcher Scott Kazmir, as he looks to not only recapture his past glory, but also to become relevant once again in the eyes of Angels’ management and fans. So far in this series, the Angels have gotten quality starts from all three of their pitchers, Jered Weaver, Dan Haren and Ervin Santana, however they only have one win to show for it. The bullpen has been shaky thus far, with Michael Kohn giving up the game-winning homer to Kila Ka’aihue on Friday, and Kevin Jepsen imploding in the eight inning on Saturday afternoon, giving up two runs on four hits, picking up the loss. With the news that Joel Pineiro will be out longer than expected after experiencing shoulder stiffness in a recent bullpen session, the Angels are counting on Kazmir to figure out the issues that have plagued him since coming over in a trade from the Tampa Bay Rays in 2009...
