Scott Proctor finally found a place where Joe Torre couldn’t abuse him.
Proctor has reportedly signed a contract to play with Korean baseball team the Doosan Bears, officially ending his second stint with the Yankees, according to Dan Kurtz of MyKBO.
I’m still not sure why, but the Yankees picked Proctor up off the scrap heap after the Braves released him last summer. He made eight appearances, throwing 11 innings with a 9.00 ERA. He actually had decent velocity on his fastball last season, but it was completely flat and he couldn’t locate it resulting in huge 9.8 BB/9 and 15.5 H/9 rates.
